Defying Gravity: Let Music Float Above the Crowd

To go against the current is to grow your own way; to float is to break free from the ground.
The theme of the first ZaiGeZaiGu Music Festival is Defying Gravity, and the call for bands is open.
We want to break the one-way model where the band plays and the crowd only watches. We want musicians to meet their listeners up close, so that music and audience move each other.
Any style, any experience level. If your music has feeling, something to say and power, this is your stage.
01 All Styles Welcome: 6-8 Bands Wanted
Any genre is welcome:
Rock / Folk / Pop / Chinese-style / Punk / Jazz / Electronic / Indie / Alternative / Original
02 Key Requirement: Build the Buzz and Create Together
To bring the Defying Gravity theme to life and give the stage warmth and stories, the bands help with promotion before the show. The stage is not only about show day; it is about growing together the whole way. Bands help with early promotion and on-site planning:
- ✅ Rehearsal footage: clips from rehearsals, everyday band life, songwriting moments and jam sessions
- ✅ Content sharing: let the organizers use and share your content, and share our posts, so we reach more people together
- ✅ Interactive moments: plan time for audience interaction, music sharing and conversation with listeners
We want the show to be the result of preparing and growing together, not a last-minute appearance. Listeners get to know you early and look forward to your set, so the show feels like a meeting both sides have waited for.
